Three provincial roads in Drenthe are scheduled to be tackled this month. This concerns the N34, the N381 and the N391.
The province carries out mowing work at various times, but roads and viaducts are also maintained and cleaned. Signs along the road indicate the diversion routes.
The N34 between the provincial border with Overijssel and Coevorden-Noord will be closed on Friday evening, June 5, between 7:00 PM and 12:00 AM. On Saturday, June 13, both the section between Emmen and Borger and between Borger and Gieten will be closed between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. On the night of Tuesday, June 23, the motorway will be closed between the Gieten and Westlaren traffic circle. This also applies to the section between Westlaren and De Punt a night later, also between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
Work is also underway on the N34 between Emmen-West and the Holsloot junction. From Monday, June 8 to Saturday, June 13, one direction of traffic will be closed due to maintenance on the asphalt. The lane towards the Holsloot junction will be closed from June 8 to 10, and the other direction will be closed from June 11 to 13. The entrance and exit ramps to the N376 at Erm and Sleen will also be closed during the work. Traffic is diverted via the N391 and N862 and must take additional travel time into account.
There are also several places on the N381 where road work is underway, although the inconvenience is not too bad. The road between the provincial border with Friesland and Beilen will be closed from Monday, June 8, 7:00 PM to Tuesday, June 9, 3:00 AM. The road between Beilen and Westerbork is closed from Tuesday, June 9, 7:00 PM to Wednesday, June 10, 3:00 AM. At the same time, the section between Westerbork and the connection with the N34 is also closed.
On the N391, the road is only temporarily closed between Ter Apel and the Emmen Rondweg. Work will take place here from Monday, June 15, 7:00 PM to Tuesday, June 16, 3:00 AM.
