An additional 1.5 million euros is available for housing projects that encounter problems in the start-up phase. The province of Drenthe is increasing the subsidy from the Housing Bottleneck Fund, so that more housing projects receive support.
The scheme will be available from 2023 and at that time a total amount of 1.5 million euros was available. A developer can receive a maximum of €300,000 from the Bottleneck Fund and the applications must relate to projects that are part of the Drenthe Woondeal.
The province of Laarhove in Zuidlaren gives an example, which received €300,000 from this scheme. This allowed the municipality of Tynaarlo to carry out preparatory work necessary for the construction of, among other things, 79 social rental homes. “Municipalities have good plans for housing construction, but sometimes get stuck on financial bottlenecks. With this scheme we ensure that homes are actually built,” says deputy Yvonne Turenhout.
The Housing Bottleneck Fund is available until the end of 2027.
