The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine confirmed its intention to arrest Poroshenko after his return

If the court agrees with the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, Poroshenko, after returning from Poland, will be arrested with the opportunity to be released on bail of one billion hryvnia.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine will ask the court to arrest ex-President Petro Poroshenko in the case of treason, the ministry’s press service confirmed, reports “Ukrinform“. He will be given the opportunity to remain at large upon posting a bail of 1 billion hryvnia ($ 37 million).

“The prosecutor’s office agreed on a petition for the arrest of Poroshenko with the possibility of a bail in the amount of one billion hryvnia (about 37 million dollars),” the agency quoted the press service as saying.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office intends to arrest Petro Poroshenko, who is now in Poland, citing sources, reported the publication “Glavkom”. Ukrainskiye Novosti wrote that the court gave its consent to the detention of Petro Poroshenko after his return in order to be taken to court to choose a preventive measure.
