The rise of coffee prices has changed the consumption habits of Finnish coffee drinkers.
According to a study commissioned by Fredman, a filter bag manufacturer, 75 % say they still drink coffee, regardless of the price, but at the same time 71 % of respondents say they are now making only the exact amount they need. Coffee has so far been the most common cause of vegetables and fruits.
The high price of coffee has also made people observe the quotation announcements of the shops. 78 % say they have moved to buy coffee from the offer.
Many have also switched to a familiar branded product for a cheaper option. 37 % of those who responded to the survey say they have switched to cheaper café quality.
-The transition to cheaper café is emphasized in a group of 18-24 year olds. Just over half of them have switched to cheaper, although on the other hand a small group of young people could pay more for coffee. Older age groups are held more closely on their favorite coffee and followed offers, says Fredman’s Communications and Responsibility Director Sara Hokkanen in the bulletin.
46 % of respondents are willing to pay a half -kilo of up to five euros for a half -kilo coffee package. 38 % of the pain limit goes by seven euros and 13 % at ten euros.
A total of 1,000 Finns responded to the survey conducted by Bilend, a survey conducted by Bilend, 870 of which were coffee drinkers.
Light or dark?
The range of coffee shelves in stores can be called wide for good reason, and even roasting can be found on the store shelves on the edge. The longer and the hotter the coffee is roasted, the darker the beans become. Roasting also affects the taste of coffee.
Light roasted coffee has more natural coffee berries and fruity flavors, while dark roasted coffee shows coffee chocolate and nutty aromas.
Spring brings new coffee to the stores. Manufacturers
Spring has also brought new coffee to the coffee shelf, which are found in both light and dark roasting.
