The hunt for promotion to Serie B begins
Kick-off is officially set for May 3the day on which the first round of the group stage will take place. The competition will then conclude one month later on June 7with the highly anticipated second leg final which will decide the fourth team promoted.
The teams qualified for the playoffs there are 28 in total: nine teams for each of the three groups (A, B and C), to which the team is automatically added winner of the Italian Serie C Cup. The regulation provides for a staggered entry into the competition, strictly based on the final placement obtained in the rankings.

There 4th place of each group enters the competition starting from second round of the group stage.
