The Düsseldorf-based e-commerce group The Platform Group has completed its change in legal form announced in May.
“The change of legal form of The Platform Group AG to the legal form of a limited partnership on shares (KGaA) became effective with today’s entry in the commercial register at the Düsseldorf District Court,” the company explained on Monday. The group will now operate as The Platform Group SE & Co. KGaA.
The shareholders had already given the green light for the plan in August. At the annual general meeting, the project was approved with 99 percent of the voting rights.
The change in legal form strengthens “the long-term orientation of the company”, increases “the ability to act internationally” and ensures “a stable ownership structure with a uniform share structure,” explained the company. The management and representation of the group is now the responsibility of The Platform Group Management SE as the personally liable partner.
