Indonesia will elect a new president on Wednesday. But despite a period of democratization, the old, autocratic forces seem to be back – perhaps never completely gone. The popular candidate Prabowo captivates the population with beautiful promises, although he has a dark past, says correspondent Saskia Konniger. Will Indonesian democracy survive?
