The latest installment of the series brings the story of the Bandera family to a turning pointbut probably doesn’t write the final word. There are many open scenarios and there is no shortage of elements to continue the story.

The Patriarch 2 it will do. Claudio Amendola made the second season officialon the occasion of a connection with very trueduring Silvia Toffanin’s interview with Raniero Monaco di Lapio and Primo Reggiani.

The writers are already at work with the writing of the new episodes and the set is expected to reopen its doors in September or early fall. There broadcasting it could be, again on Canale 5, next spring or in the 2024-2025 television season.

The Patriarch among the candidates for the 2023 Silver Ribbons

With The PatriarchClaudio Amendola brings a double role to the stage. On the one hand, the paterfamilias bonusalong the lines of what has been done previously in other series, such as Half black or, even earlier, The Cesaroni. On the other, gives life to a cynical, cold, ruthless man, willing to kill anyone who gets in his way.

It’s not easy to keep the two aspects of the same character together, but Amendola – not only the protagonist, but also the director of the series, a remake of the Spanish one Living without permission (Living without permission) – he does it masterfully. Furthermore, all the other characters are not only satellites, but also have their own history, which is explored in the course of the episodes.

Ultimately, a good product, which has achieved the nomination for the Nastri d’Argento 2023 Great Series in the Crime category. It collides with Christian 2 (Sky), Lidia Poët’s law (Netflix), Rocco Schiavone 5 And Six Women – The Mystery of Leila (RaiFiction). The awards ceremony will be held on June 17 in Naples.
