The password management service Lastpass reports that an attacker has gained access to development data. Lastpass, one of the most popular password management programs on the market, has said that two weeks ago it noticed unusual activity in its development environment. It turned out that the attacker had gained access to the data. According to the company, an unauthorized party gained access to the service’s development environment through a compromised developer account. By exploiting this, the attacker was able to export parts of the Lastpass source code as well as some Lastpass technical data.
