The Ottawa Senators support team is to be sold

The Ottawa Senators, NHL team of German ice hockey striker Tim Stützle, are to change hands.

This was announced by the Canadian franchise on Friday. The owner of the club is the family of entrepreneur Eugen Melnyk, who died in March.

According to the announcement, the prerequisite for the sale is that the team will continue to play in Ottawa.

A move to another city should be avoided. Former Mannheimer Stützle (20) was drafted by the Senators in 2020, and the German international made his NHL debut in January 2021.
