The review: the good and the bad of The night agent 3
The new season puts on a rich plate sensationalist topics. International terrorism, high-level political corruption, manipulation of information to guide drastic political decisions. A complete package that works ideal backdrop to Peter’s personal growth. That’s right the evolution of its protagonist is the major factor of interest in this third chapter.
He is no longer that naive and inexperienced man who worked in the basement of the White House and who responded to the Night Agent by pure chance. He has become an agent capable of developing sophisticated strategies. To take the responsibility of deciding alone, even at the cost of going against superior orders. Another interesting element is the subtle nuance between good guys and bad guysbetween the pure of heart and the corrupt.
The most disturbing factors (especially in episodes 6 and 7) lurk both in the continuous game of flashbacksis in the many (too many) twists and turns. The references to the past would like to delve deeper into the psychology of the protagonist but come into conflict with his new reasons. The constant shootings, attacksrevelations, last minute saving interventions they unnecessarily lengthen the plot and are boring.
The cast. Rose’s absence. Will there be season 4?
It is to liven up a less than perfect season the arrival of new characters in the cast. There first nice surprise is Genesis Rodriguez. In the shoes of tenacious journalist Isabel it is the image of justice and freedom of information. Furthermore, replaces very well the absence of Rose Larkin.
The character played by Luciane Buchanan left the scene with a heartbreaking farewell to start a new life. An important role for the development of the plot is that of Chelsea, played by the actress Fola Evans-Akingbola (Siren). Directly from Dr. House And How I met your mother Jennifer Morrison arrives. Perfect as the ambiguous First Lady, capable of manipulating everything and everyone.
Stephen Moyer (True Blood) is the contract killer with a dark secret. Suraj Sharma (Life of P) is Jay, the key character from which it all begins. In a small role, that of Senator Lancing, we find again Timothy Hutton, winner in 1981 of a Oscar for supporting actor For Common People. The open ending of the tenth episode suggests that there it could be a new chapter in the future? The production has not officially made the announcement but author Shawn Ryan confirmed that he had a meeting with the writers.

The dirty business of politics (no spoilers)
To recover Jay, Peter asks for Isabel’s collaboration. The two discover that the intermediary is at the center of a network of hidden financiers, including politicians and key government figures. They are spreading panic with attacks in order to increase military control in the state. Meanwhile in the White House an intruder, pretending to be a waiter, enters the First Lady’s room Jenny Hagen (Jennifer Morrison) staying there for at least 8 minutes.
Suspicious of the long wait, secret agent Chelsea (Fola Evans-Akingbola) intervenes and, at the instigation of the woman, he shoots the man believing he is armed. Despite the department’s kudos for the courageous rescue, Chelsea looks upset. Why did the President’s wife hide the dead man’s phone? Why did he wait 8 minutes before asking for help? The woman asks Peter for help.
Isabel finds out that Senator Lancing (Timothy Hutton) is aware of the identity of the intermediary. She meets him to convince him to talk but, before revealing his name, he is killed by a mysterious hitman (Stephen Moyer) with a gunshot. Peter finally finds out who the middleman is: He is the billionaire Jacob Monroe. Peter, Chelsea and Isabel, however, do not know who the real enemy is it’s much closer than they imagine.
