The NHL’s 50 best players were listed – Six Finns included

The Canadian TSN channel’s hockey experts ranked the NHL’s 50 best players. There were six Finns.

Edmonton Oilers superstar captain Connor McDavid is the number one name on TSN’s top50 list for the seventh year in a row. No wonder.

The man scored a cheeky 153 (64+89) points in 82 regular season games last season. In the playoffs, the balance was 20 (8+12) points in 12 games.

– All 20 TSN voters ranked McDavid as number one, the article says.

McDavid’s pair of radars Leon Draisaitl is number two on the list and Colorado’s trail machine Nathan MacKinnon third. The German was fourth last year and McKinnon was fifth.

Colorado’s kit also made it into the top five Cale Makar (third last year) and the Toronto center Austin Matthews (second last year).

Tampa Bay’s wall reached the highest among the goalkeepers Andrei Vasilevskiy. The Russian’s name can be found at number 19.

The best Finn in the ranking is Mikko Rantanen. The Colorado forward was moved up to number ten. Last year, he was only 21st on the corresponding list.

– The Finnish finisher scored more than 50 goals for the first time in his career and scored more than a point per game in the playoffs for the fifth time in a row, the reasons state.

In addition to Rantanen, Finns also made it to TSN’s list of the 50 best players Alexander Barkov (22:s), Miro Heiskanen (27:s), Sebastian Aho (35:s), Roope Hintz (39:s) and Juuse Saros (47:s).

The new cover boy of the NHL, the super promise of the Chicago Blackhawks Connor Bedard was number 48 on the list.
