Just one point ahead of United

Despite his next goal, Florian Wirtz experienced disappointment in the Premier League with Liverpool FC. In the 1-1 (1-0) draw against Burnley FC, the German international scored to make it 1-0 in the 42nd minute. Wirtz is at least getting better going with the English champions; it was the 22-year-old’s third goal in the last four games. However, second-to-last Burnley equalized through Marcus Edwards (65th).
Even before his brilliant goal with his right, Wirtz was involved in several goal scenes. However, ex-Leipzig player Dominik Szoboszlai (32′) had the biggest chance before the 1-0 when he hit the crossbar with a penalty. Even after the break, Wirtz provided momentum in the offensive, but the guests scored the second goal. Defending champions Liverpool are fourth, just one point ahead of Manchester United.
