The newest lookout point is in Messines

The province, Westtoer and the city of Messines are opening a new lookout point in Messines today. From high vantage points you can admire the beautiful landscape from the air. They are located along bicycle networks, are freely accessible and are easily accessible.

The church tower of Messines has 214 steps. Halfway through you can take a break in the exhibition ‘Phoenix : Messines, small city, great history’. When you almost reach the top of the tower, walk past the peace carillon with its 58 bells. Once at the top, you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city, its surroundings between the West Flemish hills and the northern French plains. A visit is free.
