The new Queen song with Freddie Mercury – “Face it alone”

Queen have released a previously unknown song featuring Freddie Mercury. The track entitled “Face It Alone” is from the sessions for the 13th album “The Miracle” (1989). British radio host Ken Bruce was the first to introduce the song on his show, after which the band also posted it as a lyric video on the band’s official YouTube channel.

“Face It Alone” will soon be available in physical form. A 7″ vinyl edition is scheduled for release on November 18th. here you can pre-order the single. A karaoke version of the song is included on the B-side. The song will also be featured on The Miracle reissue, which will also be out on November 18th (more info to come).

Queen had already mentioned the song in the summer of 2022 in a radio interview on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th jubilee. “We found a little Freddie gem that we kind of forgot about,” drummer Roger Taylor said in the interview. “It is wonderful. It was an actual discovery.”

The Miracle was the band’s 13th album and the penultimate to be released during Freddie Mercury’s lifetime. Two years later, in the same year that “Innuendo” was released, Mercury died of complications from AIDS.
