The new head of sales for Germany comes from our own ranks

Woolworth has a new managing director for sales in Germany, Patrick Theus.

Theus, who was previously sales manager and thus part of the extended management team, will be promoted to management with his appointment, the department store group confirmed at the request of FashionUnited. The trade magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on it. In his new role, he reports directly to CEO Roman Heini.

Until his appointment as sales manager in February of last year, Theus was responsible for the western sales region, which includes parts of North Rhine-Westphalia and parts of Hesse. In his new position, he is taking over a part of the former managing director Petar Burazin, who was responsible for sales in all markets and has led the discounter Tedi as CEO since September.

Dietrich Heumann, who has been Managing Director of Woolworth in Austria since July, is responsible for sales abroad. There, at the beginning of May, Woolworth founded Woolworth Österreich GmbH, which was temporarily managed by Woolworth CFO Oliver Penner and Burazin before his appointment. But Heumann should not occupy this position permanently either and should concentrate on his role as International Managing Director in the medium term and drive expansion abroad.
