The new Fall/Winter 2023/24 collection from LaMunt

LaMunt, the premium mountain sports brand designed by women for women, presents the looks for the 2023/24 autumn/winter season. In addition to the new femininity on the mountain, the collection stands for function, comfort and feminine aesthetics. Refined cuts and new silhouettes, wearing comfort paired with finesse and a new, innovative material – a completely circular insulation material – set new standards in the area of sustainability and raise the collection to a new level.

LaMunt’s mission is to enable women to express their personality in active mountain sports. With this background, the classic outdoor style was broken through and reinterpreted. A development that runs through the new FW23/24 collection and stands for versatile use – because anyone who goes into the mountains to do ski tours in snow and wind or to hike needs functionality and comfort on the one hand, but should also have it Ability to maintain your own style and upgrade the chosen look to match your preferred mountain activity. The new autumn / winter collection from LaMunt combines high-quality and largely recycled fabrics, carefully thought-out details and functionality – always in combination with individual customization options.

“LaMunt is all about inspiration. It’s about inspiring confident women to be active and enjoy their time in the mountains. Our FW23 collection is therefore all about dynamism and the joy of movement. Above all, however, it is about continuing our mission to enable women to express their personality individually on the mountain and in nature. With LaMunt we want to show that a different – our own – style is possible. When developing our FW23 collection, we always had this aspect in mind, but at the same time we wanted to constantly develop LaMunt in terms of sustainability and build on the existing framework, so we have placed a special focus on the use of a wide variety of recycled materials. In particular, we developed ReMOCA, a completely circular insulation material as padding for our jackets, which is being used for the first time in this collection.” Ruth Oberrauch, Brand Manager, LaMunt.

Sustainability awareness and material innovation

Care is a key element of product development and part of LaMunt’s DNA from day one. It’s not just about long-term goals, but about conscious decisions. All products are still manufactured in audited factories that are committed to fair working conditions and high social standards. LaMunt has again been awarded Leader Status by the NGO Fair Wear Foundation, an expert organization dedicated to promoting and improving working conditions in the textile industry. The new autumn/winter collection 2023/24 was further developed in a forward-looking way, especially with regard to the production and use of materials. Various recycled materials continue to be used, including post-industrial recycled cashmere for the padded jackets and vests, but also synthetic materials (such as nylon and polyester) are made from recycled materials (71% of the collection). For example, a technical 3-layer shell material made of 100% recycled polyester can be highlighted. However, the sustainability approach “LaMunt Cares” is also based on the use of natural fibers and PFC-free DWR (duralble water repellent) coatings for the finishing of water-repellent and waterproof clothing.

The introduction of the circular material ReMOCA, with which the Oberalp Group’s own production waste is returned to the cycle, sets a new standard. ReMOCA Pad is a unique synthetic insulation material from LaMunt. This lightweight, fully recycled polyester with excellent technical performance and high thermal capacity (2.92 CLO at 130 g/sqm) is made from POMOCA ski touring skin production waste (60%). It is a fully circular padding designed and manufactured in Italy.

The highlight of the collection is the IRMI REVERSIBLE REMOCA INSULATED JACKET – the highly efficient ReMOCA insulation makes the jacket another iconic LaMunt style. The jacket is, as its name suggests, reversible and two-tone: the first side is made of seersucker – a highly technical yet stylish material for a jacket. The second side features LaMunt’s signature Ali shape (wing inspired) topstitching, showing the jacket in a functional look. Doubly practical: The IRMI has integrated zip pockets on both sides and can also be stowed in a practical pouch. The elastic material on the hem and cuffs as well as a hood with a high collar and elastic drawstring ensure that it is warm and comfortable to wear. The jacket is also ideal as a mid-layer for ski tours or winter hiking on cold days. Water-repellent, innovative and sustainable: With the PFC-free DWR coating (Durable Water Repellent) and the recycled materials, the IRMI Reversible jacket not only keeps you warm, but also gives you a good feeling for the environment.

The 50-piece collection impresses with functional sophistication as well as well thought-out and individually adaptable looks. As in the last autumn/winter season, the numerous possible combinations of the different styles give the wearer individual design options for her personal Mountain-Me-Time look tailored to the activity.
