The Musikexpress playlist for issue 10/22

New every month: our new large music express playlist for streaming!

For each issue there is a newly curated playlist with the song recommendations of the ME editorial team. Here you can listen to the music that we tell you about in the magazine while you are reading.

For those readers who don’t want to do without our exclusive CD, it will continue to be available in the ME subscription (which, by the way, can be canceled at any time).

This time the October playlist features music from:

SHYGIRL

Don’t let the name fool you: this girl is definitely not shy, but the hottest thing that London’s club and hyperpop scene has to offer right now. Everything is on point: the deconstructed beats as well as the explicit lyrics.

LYZZA

The Amsterdam-based Brazilian producer processes her experiences as a black artist in the music industry in an avant-pop guise. And the dark beats rumble it’s a feast

ALEX G

Why isn’t Alexander Giannascoli at least as well known as Bon Iver? No clue! The multi-instrumentalist is a master of acoustic and experimental interplay, which is always full of great, idiosyncratic melodies.

THE DÜSSELDORF DÜSTERBOYS

Velvet and silk for your ears: The Düsterboys are not only two-thirds of International Music, but also make magnificent psychedelic folk as a duo. Here they sing a hymn to the music itself with melancholic singing.

PIXIES

Maybe they’ve calmed down a bit. But for the fact that they have long since reached the age of classic rock, the legendary band around Frank Black administers their late work with really well aged college rock.

PANDA BEAR & SONIC BOOM

Noah Lennox from Animal Collective and Peter Kember (ex-Spacemen 3) have recorded an album together and dream their way through airy summer anthems with clattering beats and the most beautiful Beach Boys memory chants.

Enjoy listening!
