In the end, All Star Mint won 17 times and became the winner of the year, overtaking Furiosa, who had held the title for a long time. Even at Christmas, Furiosa was one win ahead of All Star Mint, and when it had more second places, in a tie, Furiosa would have taken the title of the year’s most successful.

On Wednesday, however, All Star Mint won in Vermo and joined Furiosa to 16 wins. Furiosa had the opportunity to decide the race on the penultimate day of the year, i.e. Friday in Turku, when the mare ran her last start of the year. However, it was second in the hard-level open group. However, the jostling could also stay, because Furiosa only got half of the space.

Furiosa’s seventh runner-up of the season knew anyway that if All Star Mint didn’t win on the last day of the year, Furiosa would be number one.

All Star Mint sought its 17th victory of the season in Lahti, where the trotters originally planned to be run in Vermo had been moved. Due to the heat wave, however, it was not possible to race in Vermo, so it was decided to move the competition to Lahti the day before.
