Today: golden Lisanne de Witte example for youth athletics from Heiloo.
A few weeks after winning the gold World Cup medal with the women’s relay team, Lisanne de Witte is back in Heiloo. At the AV Trias club championships she is welcomed on stage as a heroine. For many young athletes, the 31-year-old clubmate is an idol with whom they would love to have their picture taken. De Witte: “I think it’s special that it has such an impact on those kids.”
She receives the appreciation pin from the municipality of Heiloo, which has not been awarded before. To top it all off, the relay team was chosen as ‘sports team of the year’ during the NOC*NSF Sports Gala.
