The moment of distress was recorded on audio tape – a gross referee error was realized in the Var booth: “Nothing can be done”

The wrong words were spoken in the Var booth, and the referee blew the whistle for offside.

A goal was taken away from Liverpool. PDO

Completely unheard of material has been published about the referee’s error in the Premier League’s top match between Tottenham and Liverpool.

The Premier League was forced to release the audio tape of the discussion between the video referees, as Liverpool’s Luis Diaz’s disallowed goal caused a huge uproar among the fans of the match.

Diaz’s 1–0 goal was disallowed for offside, even though he wasn’t actually close to being offside. Tottenham eventually won the match 2–1.

On the audio tape, you can hear how the video referees go through the situation and then communicate their views to the referee.

The video judges quickly noticed that the goal had to be accepted. However, there was a catastrophic error in communication, as the video referee accidentally said “review complete”, signaling to the referee that his original ruling was correct.

The referee had initially wrongly ruled the situation as offside. Accordingly, this decision remained in force.

– Oh shit, the video referee exclaimed after realizing the mistake.

In the Var booth, there was a desperate attempt to get the match stopped again. However, this was impossible, because after the game continues, the judgment must be left alone.

– I can not do anything. The game is already running. Nothing can be done, the main video referee said.
