The East Flanders Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the injection incident in the Hoge Wal vaccination center in Evergem. There, an 11-year-old girl was given a used syringe in her arm, which a nurse passed on to a colleague ‘as a joke’. “The parents and their daughter are greatly affected,” said Mayor Joeri De Maertelaere (N-VA) of Evergem.
