In the first episode, seven of the eight children are met: Ariel, Vivian, Celina, Kevin, Sapphire, Isabel and Tendon. In addition, the family includes the dog Diego.
A family with many children faces several prejudices. Janina takes a stand on them immediately upon shaking hands.
– We are not religious, although we have many children. The midwife said that we have won the lottery of life. I thought that was nicely said, Janina thinks.
As the mother of a large family, Janina has faced many kinds of prejudices. Over
Janina says that people’s annoying comments started when the fifth child was born in the family. Many began to judge the unknown family and share their preconceived notions.
– Many people think that we live like kings because we get a lot of maintenance payments. That’s really not true, not even close.
Some people suspect that nine children don’t get enough attention from their parents. There is also a general prejudice that the oldest children would have to take care of their younger siblings.
– We hear these from people who don’t know us at all.
The calculated due date for the newest baby is July 22nd. Just a little later, Janina’s first-born son turns 18.

Sarah31, and Philip31, wanted a little sister with a small age difference for their first child. It was revealed in the ultrasound that Sarah is expecting twins. Life29, and Tendon28, met at university and fell in love. Now they are realizing their dream of their own home and family.
