A 21-year-old man who planned an attack on pop singer Taylor Swift’s concert in Austria has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The Austrian man was arrested a day before the first concert of Swift’s tour in Vienna in August 2024 based on a tip from the US intelligence agency the CIA. All three performances planned for the Vienna leg were cancelled.

The man pleaded guilty to planning a terrorist attack. He was found guilty of numerous other terrorism-related crimes. According to the prosecutors, he had tried to buy weapons illegally, but was unsuccessful. The man was also a member of the ISIS extremist organization.
