A soccer fan was stabbed by his wife in the middle of a Serie A match, news Marca.
The man, who lives in the Capodimonte district of Naples, took a tour of refereeing when he watched the battle between Atalanta and Napoli on Saturday.
At the end of the first half of the match, the away team thought they had a penalty shot, but the verdict was overturned with the help of the Var referees.
From the point of view of Napoli, the match became bitter, because Atalanta rose from a losing position on the other side to a 2–1 victory.
As the match progressed, the man’s 35-year-old wife thought the anger and insults were aimed at her.
The misunderstanding escalated into a confrontation with serious consequences. The woman got a pair of scissors and threw them at her husband when he refused to leave the room despite orders.
Next, the woman took a kitchen knife and hit the man in the side. The shocked man managed to protect himself enough to call 911 and call for help.
The violence continued until the authorities found their way there. The police who came to the apartment found one knife thrown against the wall.
The victim was taken to the hospital for further treatment, where his life was not found to be in danger
The woman was charged with aggravated assault and illegal possession of knives.
