Robin Salo changes club. Jenni Gästgivar
Robin Salo, the Lions’ World Cup defender last spring, is changing his address and landscape within Sweden. SHL club Örebro says on its website that it has signed a two-year contract with Salo.
Salo, 27, represented Malmö Redhawks, another SHL club, for the previous two seasons.
Salo was on a strong run in Sweden this season, as he scored 7+33=40 points in 52 regular season matches.
Örebro will have to be more excited, because according to Expressen, Salo’s contract has an NHL option. Salo can sign a contract with any NHL club until June 15.
– This is perhaps the last chance for me. I’m not discounting anything. However, that pattern is not in my hands, Salo stated about his NHL seam to Expressen.
Salo represented Leijon in last spring’s World Championships in Stockholm. He scored 0+2 in five World Cup matches.
Salo has played a total of 32 NHL games in his career (3+6=9).
