The Karl Lagerfeld auction is the fifth and final auction of works and objects by the legendary German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld in Paris. Numerous personal memorabilia will go under the hammer, such as a Plexiglas portrait of him and Choupette, his famous cat.

The over 200 lot numbers include pieces of furniture from Lagerfeld’s residences in Paris, Monaco and Louveciennes as well as bed linen with the iconic KL monogram, fashion drawings, caricatures as well as handwritten notes and Karl Lagerfeld figurines.

Since 2021, four auctions have already taken place in Paris, Monaco and Cologne, which brought in around 22.5 million euros. Lagerfeld died in February 2019 at the age of 85.

Nude drawings designed by Saint Laurent

From the legacy of Yves Saint Laurent, numerous male nude drawings designed by him are offered alongside a selection of artworks, including works by Andy Warhol and Helmut Newton. The French designer died at the age of 71 in June 2008.

Among the objects is a photo showing him and his partner Pierre Bergé. The two online auctions, organized separately by Sotheby’s, last until January 31st and 30th. (dpa)
