The horror is set to continue in April. Here is all the information about the new season.

The dystopian “The Last of Us” started at the beginning of 2023. Around two years later, seven new episodes of the survival horror, which is based on the computer game of the same name, will continue. New characters also appear on the scene. A first, almost one-minute teaser provides a foretaste of what and who awaits Joel Miller (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey). There is now also a release date for the fresh material – albeit only roughly.

Five years later

The second season is scheduled to appear in April via Max, i.e. in this country via Sky / Wow. It is currently unclear when this will be more specific.

According to a press release, things will be even more unpredictable in the second season of “The Last of Us”, which will start five years after the first season of the US format. The danger can already be clearly felt in the newly released clip.

The new faces

The teaser also features Kaitlyn Dever (known from “Booksmart”) in action for the first time, who was revealed last year as one of the new protagonists of the zombie pandemic series. She goes by the name Abby and can be seen at the beginning of the clip in a hallway dimly lit only by a dark red light with a gun. She can be heard off camera: “It doesn’t matter if you have a code like me. There are just things that everyone agrees are just wrong.”

The other new cast additions: Isabela Merced, Jeffrey Wright, Catherine O’Hara, Danny Ramirez, Tati Gabrielle, Young Mazino, Ariela Barer and Spencer Lord.

Some of the ensemble can be seen in more detail in the teaser. For example, when slow dancing (Isabela Merced, who is considered Dina as Ellie’s love interest) before running away from an infected swarm. Or Jeffrey Wright, who is shown as militia leader Isaac Dixon at a campfire. But we’ll probably have to wait a little longer for more series details.
