The former Rose cup-Front woman Anna R. Unexpectedly died at the age of 55. The musician played her last concert just a year before her death: on March 20, 2024, she performed in the Metropol Theater in Bremen.
22 songs included the concert, which was supposed to be the last of the musician. The musician had actually planned a tour for autumn 2025. Anna R. began the evening with the solo number “Behind the Moon”, also played a number of songs by Rosenstolz or her other projects Silly (“Where are you”) and track 8 (“Never”, “Never”). A cover of the Marlene-Dietrich piece “Tell me where the flowers are” (in the English-language original by Pete Seeger) was also on the program.
Anna R.: The last song she ever played live
The last song that Anna R. was supposed to play live was the piece “Good Night”. “I stand by your side, watch you sleep / until the next morning I guess your rest ‘ / wake out from your sleep, I will no longer be with you / the cold tomorrow tells you about my greeting alone,” it says. The last lines: “So I wish you a good night / so that you know, one last time, I thought of you / I thought of you, I thought of you”
