The Kick-off of Friday 1 April with Jan Poortvliet and Berry Smit

Jan Poortvliet played the 1978 World Cup final and wore the Orange uniform nineteen times. Berry Smit made it international in the hall. Both football animals are guests in the brand new episode of our football talk show De Aftrap, which you can see on television every Friday at 5.10 pm.

Poortvliet worked as a trainer at Telstar for two periods (2002-2005 and 2010-2012). He was by far the most successful in the ’04/’05 season. Telstar finished in seventh place and came close to promotion to the Eredivisie in the postseason.

Berry Smit fulfilled many roles as a trainer with both the amateurs of RKAV Volendam and the professionals of FC Volendam. Next season, the former trainer of IJsselmeervogels will start working at Volendam on Saturday 1.

For the game of street foot golf, reporter Erik-Jan Brinkman competes with Toine van Huizen, former Telstar player. The loser faces another nasty penalty. And in our team of the week, AZ captain Owen Wijndal loses his base place. Who will replace him and why you will see towards the end of the broadcast!

Next week, agent Peter Wijk (former player of AZ and FC Volendam) and technical director of SC Cambuur Foeke Booy will be guests. Questions and comments can be emailed to [email protected]
