Family Jelies, known from the television program A house full is still looking for dog Borre. The family suspects he was taken, dumped, and is now roaming miles away.

The Jelies family from Tollebeek is desperately looking for dog Borre. It has been missing for over a week now. “We hope so much that he is found,” the family said on Instagram.

She suspects that Borre has been taken by someone who wants to use him as a breeding dog. However, the latter is not included. The dog has been neutered. The family believes that Borre was then released by his hijackers to get rid of him and is now roaming somewhere.

100 kilometers away

According to the family, there are clear indications that Borre is wandering around Wieringerwerf, about 100 kilometers away. Anyone who can help has been searching the area ever since.

The family previously made a call to three motorists and a moped driver. On the day of the disappearance, they drove past the farm in Tollebeek, where Borre has been staying for two years, between six and seven in the morning. They might have seen something.

That call turned up nothing. And meanwhile, the busy family life in the Jelies house continues. Where they all fervently hope that dog Borre will be found as soon as possible. Even though he is no longer part of the family on a daily basis. “He can lose his energy better on the farm,” says mother Janneke on Instagram.

Thousands of messages of support

But it still hurts them that Borre has disappeared and that time is running out to find him. There is no shortage of statements of support. Thousands of people sympathize with them on social media. ‘How awful. How are the kids underneath?’ and ‘It’s too bad that Borre is gone. I would be devastated if our dog is gone. Hope he’s back soon.’
