The artist Robin Packalén was not seen at the Linna party last year.

Before Independence Day, he said on his social media that he received an invitation to the Presidential Palace, but announced at the same time that he would not be able to participate.

Now Packalén tells in his Instagram storiesthat has received a new invitation this year. He has added a picture of the Finnish flag and also added a picture of the invitation with his name on it.

Last year, Robin Packalén said that he was prevented, because he was on tour at the same time.

– Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend this time because of the Asian tour. I will raise a toast to Finland in Shanghai, he wrote.

The Independence Day celebration reception will be celebrated in the traditional way on Saturday, December 6, at the Presidential Palace.

About 1,700 guests from all over Finland will participate in the celebration this year. Half of those invited are first timers.

The reception celebrates education and culture as a builder of Finnish society. Professionals in the field of education, such as distinguished teachers from various educational levels, have been specially invited as guests.

In addition, the presidential couple also wanted to remember the people they met on their travels in their homeland with the invitation.
