The Idols contestant who survived the school shooting has the judges cracking up

A touching moment was seen in the American Idol competition when a 21-year-old mattress salesman Trey Louis march before the magistrates. Louis arrived to perform sunny and chatted to the judges.

Louis interprets Whiskey Myers for the judges Stone– song. The judges give the choir a standing ovation. Louis’ voice is described as perfect.

After the performance, the judge Luke Bryan asks Louis why he is applying for the reality competition. Louis’ story momentarily stuns the judges.

First he praises the format, but then he talks about the tragedy he experienced. Louis tells how he survived the 2018 mass shooting at a school in Santa Fe, Texas. He was in art class himself when the shooter entered.

– I lost a lot of friends, Louis says.

The shooter killed two teachers and eight students.

Louis says that since then his hometown has had a bad reputation.

Judge Katy Perry breaks into tears.

– You should sing here because you love music. Not because you had to go through that. You shouldn’t have lost eight friends, Perry says emotionally.

The judges will vote for Louis with a handsome voice. The young man who works as a mattress salesman will have the votes of all the judges in the future.
