The fire on Manzano’s yacht in Saint Tropez was an event that shocked both the nautical world and the international press. This luxurious yacht valued at 3 million dollars, a symbol of success and sophistication, was completely destroyed after a raging fire that broke out while it was moored at the dock, with no victims reported. Far from being discouraged, Manzano began working on a new project that emerged as an innovative bet.

Their new boat, which is being built and equipped at the Río Santiago shipyard, is designed to challenge the extreme conditions of the icy waters.

This icebreaking vessel has advanced technology to allow safe and prolonged navigation in polar and oceanic areas that are difficult to access, approaching the most remote and fragile corners of the planet.
But this new ship is not only a technical marvel; It also has a scientific purpose. Inside there is a research laboratory dedicated to the study of pollution that affects the oceans and polar regions.
This space is equipped with technologies to analyze water, air, and sediment samples, helping to better understand the human impact on these ecosystems.

In addition, the project incorporates a sustainable tourism component. The ship will have cabins specially designed to accommodate tourists who wish to join scientific expeditions.
