The House of Representatives wants more trains between Groningen and Zwolle

In June, the province of Groningen wrote in a letter to outgoing State Secretary Vivianne Heijnen that Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe are under-resourced. In the new transport concession of the main rail network, which applies from 2025 to 2033, the ministry does not want to allow additional intercity trains to run between Groningen and Zwolle. RTV North writes that, according to Heijnen, research is necessary “to provide insight into which measures are necessary and what their costs are.”
