On the morning of Thursday, November 13, 2025, personnel from the Santa Fe Investigative Police (PDI) and the Human Trafficking section raided a home located in Block 7 of the Alto Verde neighborhood, in the city of Santa Fe. The house belongs to forward Cristian Tarragona, a soccer player for Club Atlético Unión, and other members of his family also reside there.
The authorities confirmed that the operation is part of the global Protective Shield program, aimed at detecting and dismantling child pornography networks. In parallel to the raid in Alto Verde, another was carried out in Villa Constitución. In both places, electronic devices and material that could be useful for the case were seized, which will be analyzed by specialized experts.
From the Ministry of Justice and Security, the director of Investigations, Rolando Galfrascoli, explained that the case is under the orbit of prosecutors Ignacio Suasnabar and Matías Broggi. He also stressed that this is a delicate file and that, for that reason, no identities or personal details of those involved will be disclosed. He also clarified that there are no detainees or restrictive measures in place, and that the central objective of the operation was the technical review of a router and other equipment.
For its part, the club issued a release where it informs:
“Club Atlético Unión informs that this morning a judicial procedure was carried out in the family home of the player Cristian Tarragona. The operation – which had as its objective the technical verification of an electronic device (router) – was carried out completely normally. Both the player and his family showed full willingness and collaboration with the intervening authorities. From the institution we highlight the responsible and transparent attitude of the footballer and also, according to the authorities present, both for the way in which the procedure was developed and for the reasons for the “The situation is not serious for the player. Furthermore, there is no measure of restriction or accusation regarding the player or any member of his family.”
The case remains under summary secrecy, and the seized material will be subjected to technical expertise to determine its relevance in the investigation.
