Trends fly over, but sunglasses remain the ultimate summer essential. In keeping with the holiday season, we show three collaborations in which Passant: on the inside have to lose your glasses to take a closer look.

A $ ap rocky for Ray-Ban

At the beginning of the year, A $ AP Rocky was appointed Creative Director of the Ray-Ban glasses brand. The American designer and musician, who is called Rakim Mayers with a bourgeois name, is the first person to have this title with the glasses brand.

As part of the Paris Men’s Fashion Week, he introduced the first three sunglasses models, said Ray-Ban on Friday. The collaboration partners present them: inside as “The Next Generation”, which is accompanied by the futuristic look of the models.

Each of the three models is “a true style of style in which design, art and music merge.” Depending on the model, you rely on massive frames, brackets or a continuous visor as with the ‘Ultra Wrap 002’ sunglasses.

In addition to this series, Rocky and Ray-Ban also launched the sunglasses Wayfarer Puffer, which is available in seven colors. The designer presents the iconic Ray Ban model Wayfarer with a more playful approach that looks somewhat three-dimensional than the original frame. In addition to the Ray Ban branding, the logo of Rocky’s Streetwear brand AWGE can also be seen at the end of the iron.

All models are already available in the Ray-Ban online shop and from selected opticians: inside. While the Wayfarer Puffer costs 173 euros, the “The Next Generation” models are between 650 and 670 euros.

Daily Paper X Oakley

The American brand Oakley, which, like Ray-Ban, belongs to the French glasses specialist Essilorluxottica, combines its strength with Daily Paper this summer.

The Amsterdam Streetwear brand has repeatedly installed Oakley models into the styling of their shootings. Now the brands bring the ‘Gascan’ sunglasses, which originally came onto the market in the early 2000s, with an update. Daily Paper uses his “Afrofuturist lens”.

The sunglasses are available in the brands of the brands and from selected dealers: inside for 165 euros.

Oakley Plantaris Ti

But that’s not the only futuric model that Oakley has in her luggage. With the ‘Plantaris Ti’ model, the iconic brand, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is based on a mixture of instinct and innovation, said Oakley on Tuesday. It is also a new interpretation, namely that of the Oakley sunglasses ‘Plantaris’.

The model is said to show how Oakley imagines 2075. The brackets are adjustable and the nose attachment removable to adjust the look individually. The design of the brackets and the transparent silicone ends are inspired by frog legs and show the “wire -like interior structure”, according to the message.

The ‘Oakley Plantaris Ti’ is available from July 31, in the brand’s online shop.

Komono X Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp

If you do not seek futuric sunglasses, but still want to “fall out of the frame”, you will find a suitable model in the latest cooperation between Komono and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. As part of its ongoing cooperation with the fashion school, the Belgian brand has again given three talents a stage.

Chloë Reners, Delara Tavassoti and Sybrand Jansen dealt with the concept of reconstruction. Jansen created an ODE of objects at the end of its life cycle, which was drawn by time, said Komono. The basis for this is a thrown away glasses that the aspiring designer noticed on the street. Instead of perfect restoration, he accepted the damaged form and transferred it to his own variant.
