The hit series Modern Men returns to the screen: The favorite character shines in his absence

Yle’s hit series Modernit miët returns to the screen in January.

Mightily Modern men The new season of the series starts on January 16 on the Yle TV1 channel on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. All episodes of the program will be added to Yle Areena on the same day.

There is a big change in the fourth season of the show, as actor Eero Milonoff’s Jarkko character is missing from the foursome. Jarkko is a favorite character on social media. Jarko’s videos have become Tiktok hits one after the other. Jarko will be replaced by a new main character.

The familiar Iikka Forss (Matti) will be seen in the other main roles, Jarkko Niemi (Pete) as well Tommi Rantamäki (Thomas).

New main character

In the fourth season, two years have passed since the events of the third season. The familiar and beloved characters Matti, Tuomas and Pete get as their new neighbor the former professional ice hockey player and current ruthless adjuster, Mika Mäkinen (Mikko Töyssy). After Jarko took the bats to Fuengirola, the men’s badminton team desperately needs a new member.

It quickly becomes clear to Mati, Tuomak and Pete that the big-talking Mika has not only a good eye for the ball from touring the world’s ice hockey leagues, but also amazing ways of coping with every situation. No one escapes open ice bombs on the playing field of manliness, but at the core of Mati, Mika, Tuomaksen and Pete’s joint play is an old familiar wisdom: you don’t leave a friend behind.
