The hairdresser ruined Ronja’s hair: “This hair is embarrassing”

From Oulu Ronja26, previously dyed her hair herself. Now she wanted something new and decided to make an appointment at a well-known hairdresser. The change in hair color he planned was so special that he wanted to invest and not dye it himself. Ronja chose an available hairdresser from a well-known salon based on hair photos and was thrilled.

Ronja kylä knew that her dream hair required expertise from a hairdresser: she wanted platinum blonde, even slightly grayish blonde hair, and black, fade-dyed ends. He showed sample pictures and the hairdresser got excited too – you have to get a picture of the end result, because now you have such sweet hair in the making.

The initial situation of Ronja’s hair was not the easiest. The top of the hair was bleached and the root had about ten centimeters of its own color. The general appearance of the hair was light. He is an experienced home dyer, but with a slightly more complicated job, he decided to trust a professional.

– I decided that I would rather now pay someone else to dye my hair and do it with good colors, Ronja tells Tyyli.com.

Doubts arose immediately

Ronja’s doubts were raised immediately at the beginning of the dyeing, when the hairdresser put a bleaching agent at the base of her hair, even though she had several centimeters of her own hair color there. After waiting at the wash station, the hairdresser stated that there are parts of the hair that are darker than others, but promised to tone the hair more evenly for Ronja’s pleasure.

– I really hoped that the end result would not have been as bad as I first thought, Ronja says.

However, the worst had already happened. When the hair was dried, Ronja’s hair had a white root, followed by a yellow-orange ring several centimeters wide around the head and white ends. The hair was clearly streaked and unevenly colored.

– At that point, I should have said that let’s just fix this blonde and leave as a blonde. But I still believed that the whole thing would be corrected when black was added to the tops – it was supposed to look nice when there were layers, Ronja times.

The blonde shade had to be corrected overtime, for which the hairdresser said she would charge extra. This caused a stir: the hairdresser was left overtime to correct her own mistake, and Ronja had to pay for it. But she wanted beautiful hair, at any cost.

Fixing the blonde part of the hair was not successful. But then the black one – it can’t really be described as successful either.

– There was far too much black, almost half of the hair, and not at all in layers. I was in shock and I was overtime, Ronja says and continues:

– In my shock, I accepted the final result, paid 244 euros and went home. I hoped that others thought my hair didn’t look as bad as I thought.

At home, both Ronja’s sister and mother also stated that her hair was terrible. With her mother’s encouragement, Ronja contacted the hair salon the next day and got a repair appointment with another hairdresser. However, the hair repair was not successful.

– The end result was nowhere near what I asked for. Technically, it was implemented in such a way that I believe I could have done it better myself. It’s really sad, says Ronja.

Speed ​​from the Some post

Ronja demanded her money back, because the entire customer service situation and hair dyeing had been handled poorly. He received a 34 euro gift card as compensation. It didn’t make up for the hurt.

With a bad feeling, Ronja decided to make a post about the incident in the area’s Facebook group. Then it started happening. The publication made with pictures gathered hundreds of comments and Ronja was showered with sympathy. Soon, the hair salon’s sales manager, who was on vacation, reached Ronja.

Ronja got all her money back, hair washing products, and she was also offered hair care at a hairdresser. The money compensation was a big relief for Ronja, even though she is not satisfied with her hair.

Due to the harsh treatments, Ronja has to be satisfied with the end result and stick with the black-and-white hairstyle for at least a few months.

– You can’t lose the end result and this hair puts me to shame. But there’s nothing you can do now. I’m actually blond, so I don’t want to dye my hair completely black. So now I just wait and grow out the black part of the hair.

Ronja wants to emphasize that she made the social media post on the spur of the moment, and not to threaten the hairdresser. Still, he feels he was heard only after the social media post.

– I believe that even the hairdresser did not think the end result was successful. He no longer asked if he could take a photo of the wonderful end result. Mistakes happen. I also feel empathy and sadness towards the hairdresser, Ronja says now afterwards.
