Before a shot was fired on Grote Beerstraat in the Paddepoel district of Groningen on Saturday afternoon, there was an argument in the street. This is what the police concluded after an investigation.
The argument turned into a fight. One person involved is suspected of threatening others and shooting into the air with a firearm. The suspect then fled.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m. There were no injuries. Later that afternoon, a police arrest team raided a house on Zonnelaan. The alleged shooter was not found.
The police are investigating further. Officers spoke to witnesses, viewed CCTV footage and examined the crime scene.
