Once a year, Formentera opens its doors to the best talent of the country’s digital culture in a meeting for calm debate and reflection on new communication trends. That is the goal of Formentera20a multidisciplinary event devised in 2012 by the journalist Rosa Castells that seeks to place the paradise island of Pitiusa on the map of innovation and creativity.
This Thursday the tenth edition of this congress cooked at low temperature is launched, an edition that will end on Sunday and that will include the participation of great experts in communicationdigital marketing, creativity, social networks, brand strategy and many other branches of digital culture.

To celebrate its first two-digit birthday, Formentera20 will open this edition with a talk by the renowned advertising creative Tony Segarra, considered by his peers as the best publicist of the 20th century and author of such memorable slogans as “Do you like to drive?”, “Be water, my friend” or “Hello, I’m your menstruation”. On Thursday there will also be a conference of Maria Jesus Espinosa de los Monterosgeneral director of PRISA audio, who will analyze the growing phenomenon of podcasts.
On Friday, the luxury presentations on marketing and creativity will continue with the representatives of two digital giants. It is the case of Paul Skafdirector of marketing for Netflix in Spain and Portugal, and Pepe Redcreative strategist for Meta, the company that owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp among others.
Despite opening the weekend, Saturday will be the most intense day: Anna GomezTikTok Head of Agencies Partnerships; Bruno Sellesfounder and creative director of the Vasava studio; Emilio Pila, director of Twitter Next in Spain; and a discussion on content and creativity moderated by Javier Piedrahitadirector of the portal MarketingDirecto.com.
Formentera20 will close its edition with talks by Thomas Alonso, Head of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs at Samsung; and the renowned creative director Elizabeth Martinezwhich will address the world of NFTs.
