The great names of architecture arrive in Buenos Aires

In its eighteenth edition, it returns The International Architecture Biennale of Buenos Aireswhich will take place from September 28 to October 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Faena Art Center of Puerto Madero. The exhibition will bring together the most outstanding professionals of the contemporary architectural scene. For the first time since its inception, admission will be free and free.

The meeting will offer a proposal for an installation with technological support. In it, fifty invited architecture studios will be exhibited, along with the 120 projects selected from an open call that received an unprecedented number of participants. The nominees will be able to compete for the Biennial Grand Prizewhich will be awarded by a jury of international prestige.

This year, the public will be able to attend a program of conferences that will bring together, in face-to-face and virtual live format, references from the field of national and international architecture and urban planning. Among the prominent participants are: Patrick Schumacher (Zaha Hadid Architecs), Juan Lucas Young (Sauerbruch Hutton), Diane Gray, TEN Studio, Eva Gilabert and Pelli Clarke & Partners Studio, Galia Solomonoff, among others.

The Buenos Aires Architecture Biennale

The main themes that will address the central exhibition and the program of international conferences will be inclusion, integration, sustainability and the transformation of urban centers. In addition, the Biennale will be articulated with leading cultural institutions to generate a platform for contemporary production and reflection based on interdisciplinary proposals, meetings in different settings, urban tours and dialogues between architecture, art and design.

In this framework, the exhibition of the IDA Foundation (Research in Argentine Design) is also highlighted, an institution dedicated to the recovery, conservation, dissemination and enhancement of national design. Currently, the organization is carrying out an ongoing investigation into the beginnings of the Architecture Biennale in 1985, putting its historical relevance into perspective.
