The dilated atmospheres of the Scandinavian series and the typical tension of Israeli spy stories. From the co-production between Norwegians and Israelis was born The girl from Oslothriller in ten episodes.

The story starts from disappearance of Pia, a Norwegian girl daughter of an important Norwegian diplomatwho is kidnapped with two friends by a group of ISIS terrorists while on the heights of Sinai.

The mother, played by an intense Anneke Von der Lippe, leaves for Jerusalem where she meets Arik, a senior member of the Israeli governmentin the odor of the ascent to the role of prime minister, with which the woman had collaborated at the time of the Middle Eastern peace negotiations and which discloses a personal secret.

Thus begins a long search to locate the hostages and free them. The girl from Oslo It does not have the polish of other genre spy stories, but manages to balance moments of action and suspense with other sentimental and family intrigues.

Above all, the anguish of Pia’s mother shines in the narration, the pain and intensity used to arrive at a solution and free the daughter. It is on the family dynamic that the series seems to give its best.
For those who appreciate Middle Eastern thrillers with the romantic and intimate touch of European series.
