A strange situation was seen in the Turkish amateur league.
The football match of the Turkish amateur league took a rather special turn in the 22nd minute of the game, when one of the players ended up reviving the seagull in the middle of the game.
The situation started when the goalkeeper of Istanbul Yurdum Spor Muhammet Uyanik sent a routine, high opener towards midfield. However, the kick took an unfortunate turn when the ball hit a seagull flying above the field.
Team captain Gani Catan reacts to the situation immediately. He ran to the bird and began to give first aid by pressing on its chest. Catan later told the Turkish media that he acted on instinct and noticed signs of life in the bird during the resuscitation attempt.
After resuscitation, the bird was moved to the side of the field for further treatment, but it later died from its injuries.
Istanbul Yurdum Spor eventually lost the match to Mevlanakapi Guzelhisar.
