New York (dpa -AFX) – The health insurer Centene came under pressure on Wednesday. Because of a withdrawn view, the course dropped by almost 40 percent. Eight years are gone. Analysts classified the value.
The health insurer withdrew his forecast, whereupon other industry values came under pressure. The reason for Centenes step is not a homemade, but a feared slump in sales in connection with “Obamacare”, which was under the then democratic president Barack Obama adopted law on health reform in the USA.
For the shares of Humana and Unitedhealth, there was also a clear setback after a recovery movement the day before. Unitedhealth, for example, who still led the Dow Jones Industrial on Tuesday, were now the biggest loser in the leading index. The DOW heavyweight had already suspended the annual goals in May.
Experts spoke of a dark sign for the whole industry. They referred to rapidly rising risks related to “Obamacare”, ie the so -called “Affordable Care Act” (ACA) – a program that has made health care accessible to more Americans since 2010. Centene is considered the top provider in this segment.
Two analysts were particularly frightened, which showed their positive assessments for Centene tasks so far. John Stansel from JPmorgan and AJ Rice from UBS classified the shares to “neutral” from./Tih/ck/jha/
