Format designed by John De Molalready creator of hits like Your business And The Voice, The Floor returns tonight at 9.20pm on Rai 2 with a 2026 edition full of new features, starting from the hosting. In fact, last year, at the helm of the program, there were Fabio Balsamo and Ciro Priello of The Jackal, now instead it’s Paola Perego’s turn with Gabriele Vagnato. The exciting game show will also be available in streaming not only on RaiPlay, but also for Disney+ subscribers from the day following the broadcast on Rai 2.
The Floor – Only one left 2026: how the game show works tonight 6 April on Rai 2
On a giant, bright floorin a completely renovated studio, 100 competitors, each positioned on their own space and trained on a specific subject, they will compete one after the other in a very fast duel. They will have 45 seconds to answer the questions. Whoever accumulates the most answers will earn a box. The goal is to conquer one hundred squaresi.e. the entire game plan, ei 100 thousand euros up for grabs at the end of the 5 episodes.
The Floor it is a general culture show for the whole family: the protagonists are experts in their subject which include from the most common to the most bizarre, from sayings to proverbs, from Sanremo songs to film characters, from monuments to athletes, to cartoons. The “duellists” will compete on the topic of the chosen challenger. At the end of each episode there is 10,000 euros up for grabs for whoever wins the most boxes.
New for the season is the Golden Star bonus: the contestants who will win two challenges in a row will get 5 seconds of time for the next challenge and 1,000 euros. In the last episode, however, the two finalists will fight three duels. Whoever wins at least two will be the winner of The Floor 2026 – winning in fact 100 thousand euros.

Who is Gabriele Vagnato, co-host of The Floor
Born in Asti in 2001, Gabriele Vagnato during his high school years he begins to create content for platforms like YouTube and TikTokstanding out for its ironic and original style. In 2022 he joins the cast of Long live Rai2!the morning show hosted by Rosario Fiorelloin which he served as a special correspondent for two seasons. He recently participated as a competitor in Red Carpet – VIPs on the carpet on Prime e Freeze – Whoever stays still wins! on Rai 2.
Paola Perego on TV also with the new season of Rai2 intercom together with Paola Barale
Intercom Rai 2 airs Saturday and Sunday at 11.15am. The program sees arriving at hosted by Paola Barale, who takes the place of Simona Ventura, who in the meantime moved to Mediaset.
“I’m very excited,” said Barale toHANDLE«I’m back on TV to host a program after 20 years and for the first time on Rai. So the emotion is running high. I thank Paola Perego for her trust, with whom I think a harmony has been created, as with the rest of the working group: I tell everyone that they are a madhouse.” Perego, on the other hand, declared: «It’s a program that makes you lose your mind, makes us laugh and entertains us tooand in this historical period for people who stay at home a little lightness might not hurt.”
The two had already worked together in 2008 on the reality show The Molewhere Perego conducted from the studio and Barale was sent to the field in South Africa. In the permanent cast of Intercom Rai 2 Gene Gnocchi, the astrologer Simon & The Stars also returnthe duo Pi.Erra and the Band Isola delle Rose. Among the new features is also the actor Marco Caprettiprotagonist of a space “on the road”.
