Finnish skier Eveliina Piippo opened on Instagram on Wednesday in an exceptionally frank way about his past season.
– Rough season, the 27-year-old skier summarized.
Piipo’s winter was modest in terms of results. He competed in the World Cup only once, in November in Ruka, and the rest of the season did not bring the desired turn. Even at the domestic level, the results did not pay off, because for example, in the WC skied in Inari, the ranking was 23rd in 30 kilometers.
– Not even once did it pass and from week to week you were ashamed of your own results. Thanks to everyone who managed to see the potential and tried to help, Piippo continued in the update.
Despite the difficulties, he is not giving up on his goals.
– The future has sometimes looked brighter, but luckily I’m comfortable in the dark. At least the difficulties don’t end by loosening monos, so let’s keep squeezing, he concluded the publication.
The skier also highlighted his publication in his Instagram storieswhere the tone was at least as direct. He added a speech bubble to the picture with the text: “When will this shit end?”
Piippo has represented Finland at the World Cup level in 2019 and 2023.
He made his World Cup debut in Ruka in December 2017. He scored his first points in Lahti the following year by finishing 28th in the 10 km traditional race.
