On December 13th and 14th Women’s Festival of Excellence of Genoa closes with the film Thelma&Louise thirty years lateran ideal sequel to the famous road story that tries to ask whether the two women really died after jumping into the ravine with the car. In the exhibition Titian, Lotto, Crivelli and Guercino. Masterpieces from the Pinacoteca of Ancona at the Capitoline Museums in Rome, six extraordinary works are on display, brought in for the next Jubilee: Circumcision of Baby Jesus Of Olivuccio di Ciccarellothe Halberd Shovel Of Lorenzo Lottothe Crucifixion And the Gozzi Altarpiece Of Titian, Immaculate conception Of Guercino, Madonna and Child Of Carlo Crivelli (circa 1480, pictured). Five large altarpieces and a small tempera on wood which are the artistic manifestos of the authors. The exhibition, beyond the importance of the paintings, is a tribute to the value of the Collection and to the city of Ancona as a client of the most important artists from the Marche between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. “Photolux Festival 2024” in Lucca

After All offers a selection of drawings, sculptures and installations, many unpublished, by the Bergamo artist which refer to “an altered vision of a possible future”, full of analogies with cinema, theatre, science fiction. Allieri uses common objects that he modifies in his worksand many works are made of fiberglass, a material normally used for boats. This is why the exhibition is supported by Officina Italiana Design, a design studio that designs the iconic Riva boats. Sand Nativity Scene of Lignano Sabbiadoro (Udine)
In Lignano Sabbiadoro (Udine) the Christmas atmosphere is about to light up: the appointment with Christmas at…Sea (from 7 December 2024 to 6 January 2025), the historic event which gives rise to a rich calendar of initiatives organized for the holidays (such as the Taste Village, Santa Claus’ Village, the majestic Christmas Tree with skating in Piazza Fontana, music and lots of fun). Among these, it stands out in particular the traditional Sand Nativity (7 December 2024 – 2 February 2025), now one of the most popular in Italy, which this year is dedicated to the theme “Panem nostrum cotidianum” to celebrate the Lignano area between typical cuisine, traditions, art and spirituality: the work focuses, in fact, on the work in the fields and on the saints’ holidays linked to the agricultural cycles, telling the story of the traditional dishes that preserve ancient flavors and the history of life local farmer. Coming from all over the world, the artists use exclusively beach sand and water, without resorting to glues or other additivesto create the extraordinary sculptures that will return to beach sand at the end of the exhibition, in a virtuous circle in which art blends perfectly with nature. “Homage to Walter Albini” in Prato
In November the exhibition was fully attended by the public Homage to Walter Albiniwhich can be visited in the spaces of the Fabbricone Storico, the headquarters of Balli il Lanificio in the heart of Prato. Hence the decision to extend it with extraordinary openings also during the month of December. Co-curated for Balli by the architect Filippo Boretti and born as a spin-off of the exhibition on Albini himself recently proposed by Textile Museumthe exhibition offers a delicate excursus to discover the designer’s creativity unanimously considered the father of Italian ready-to-wear. The Lanificio style office has selected 12 original designs – owned by the Museum – made by Albini to create the costumes for the protagonists of Latina play written in 1982 by Luca Ronconi but never performed on stage. The Balli Style Office has the task of tailoring five of those costumes using fabrics from the wool mill: a women’s coat, a two-piece Chanel suit, a child’s jacket, a tunic, a women’s dress accompanied by its overcoat. Strengthened by a background and a wealth of skills and knowledge gained in over seventy years of history, with this exhibition Balli il Lanificio has launched the ‘Fabbrica di Cultura’ project aimed at disseminating the knowledge, secrets and values of the textile sector to an audience increasingly expanded and made up not only of sector operators. “Disenchanted! The Musical” in Sesto San Giovanni
Disenchanted! The Musical has finally returned to Milan, after the enormous success of the previous editions at the “The Magic of Christmas” park at the Carroponte in Sesto San Giovanni where it will be on stage for six more performances – every Thursday, Friday and Saturday – until 21 December. An enormous public and critical consensus accompanied the rebellious princesses, with Endless applause for this politically incorrect musicalwhich ensures an evening of pure fun in a location suitable for variety, a true circus spiegeltent, that is, a large travel tent, built in wood and canvas, decorated with mirrors and stained glass windows. “Dirty Dancing” in Milan
Gabrio Gentilini will star in the role of Johnny Castle in the new version of Dirty Dancingon stage at Carcano Theater in Milan starting from 12 December 2024. Gabrio, already protagonist with the iconic character of Johnny Castle in the Italian premiere of the show in 2014, returns to wear the role of the charismatic dancer, made immortal by Patrick Swayze’s interpretation in the 1987 filmto celebrate the tenth anniversary of the show’s debut in Italy. The direction is once again entrusted to Federico Bellonewho has taken care of the staging since its Italian debut. The show will include all the famous musical numbers and choreographies that made the film unforgettable and a true cult, combining theatrical narration, songs and dances in a unique experience.
