The singer who won the Eurovision Song Contest for Turkey will not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Singer Sertab Erener won Eurovision in 2003 with the song Everyway That I Can. It is Turkey’s first and so far only visa victory.
The singer, who is well-known in his home country, now claims on Instagram that he was invited to perform at the Eurovision final in Vienna. However, the artist turned down the invitation.
– Because of the world political situation, I didn’t want to be there. Anyway, I have my own concert on May 16, Erener said on his Instagram account.
Turkey has not participated in Eurovision since 2012. However, Erener appeared in the interim number of Eurovision in 2024.
There has been a lot of buzz around the Eurovision Song Contest in recent years. The discussion has been sparked by Israel’s participation in the song contest. As many as five countries boycotted Eurovision this year because of Israel. The countries criticized Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
This year, 35 countries will participate in Eurovision. Finland is represented in the competition by Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen Flamethrower– song. Finland will compete in the first semifinal on Tuesday, May 12.
