The drummer of Rasmus Janne Heiskanen is dead. Heiskanen died at the age of 43. The Rasmus himself tells about the passing away on Instagram.
Heiskanen played in the band in 1994-1999.
– We received sad news last night: Janne Heiskanen passed away. Rest in peace, Janne, 1979-2022. You will live in our memories forever, The Rasmus writes.
The Rasmus recalls how Janne had a strong influence on the band’s sound.
– He was the backbone of our groove. We had many great moments and experiences together. We were teenagers when we started touring. In this picture we are in Korson Ankkarock in August 1996. Janne is second from the left.
